THERMON

One Company, Many Solutions...

Thermon has the most complete line of heat tracing products to serve the commercial construction and transportation markets. Whether it's freeze protecting pipes and tanks, maintaining elevated temperatures on hot water supply lines, or deicing switch rails or 3rd rail power supply sources, or deicing switch and contact rail, Thermon has the heating cable to meet the need.

As a manufacturer of self-regulating, parallel constant watt, series resistant heating cables, Thermon can objectively evaluate any application need.

Years of development and testing by Thermon's Research and Development group insures that each product will perform at or beyond the expectations of the customer. All products meet or exceed 515.1 ANSI/IEEE Standard and are further tested by major approval agencies to verify proper performance. And, as the first North American heat tracing manufacturer with an ISO 9001 registered quality management system, Thermon's commitment to quality is evident.

  • Reliable hot water with no recirculation piping, no continuously operating recirculation pumps and no flow balancing valves.
  • Reduced initial cost: simplifies design and installation
  • Lower energy cost: eliminates recirculation pumps and overheated water.
  • Potential water savings.

  • Designed for direct-burial in concrete or asphalt.
  • Flexible and simple to design for stairs and complex layouts.
  • Durable construction design for long-term operation.
  • Preparation of cable for connection to power is easy with circuit fabrication kits which require no special tools.
  • Step-by-step guides allow users to select products, lay out circuits and install complete systems.

  • Provide increased power output in snow and ice and decreased power in dry air.
  • Can be cut-to-length and terminated with easy-to-use kits
  • Metallic braid and heavy overjacket with UV inhibitors provides protection from the elements.
  • Step-by-step guides allow user to select products, lay out circuits and install complete systems.

  • Ideally suited for critical access applications.
  • Utilizes a rugged "heat tube" to generate heat.
  • Over 2,000 square feet (186 sq. meters) can be protected from a single power point.
  • Each system is fully engineered by Thermon. "Turnkey" factory installation is available.

  • Parallel resistance, cut-to-length cables with metallic braid or optional braid and overjacket.
  • Self-regulating performance with easy design and installation for all applications.
  • Excellent for use on metallic and plastic piping.

  • Easy installation. RWA's are fastened by means of spring-steel clips and are supplied in various lengths to accommodate the irregular brace spacing on rail switches. A complete switch heating system can be installed in an hour without disrupting rail traffic.
  • Long life expectancy. Low watt density spread over a wide surface area heats the rail without overheating the rail web heater. Heater readily accepts normal vibration and flexing from rail traffic.

  • Easy to install. Flexible product readily conforms to surface.
  • Excellent heat transfer. Broad surface area and extruded Thermon Heat Transfer Cement provides even, predictable heat input.
  • Long life expectancy. RDT is impervious to flexing and vibration.

Thermon Sno-Trac Skin-Effect Snow and Ice Melting Systems provide the perfect solution for Automated People Movers (APM) and Personal Rapid Transits (PRT) providing reliable traction for the rubber drive wheels.Thermon HTEK series heaters are ideal for preventing snow and ice buildup on communication, signal and power rails.
  • Extremely long life expectancy. Whether embedded in concrete or welded directly to the underside of metal guideways, Sno-Trac can be expected to operate for the life of the guideway.
  • Easy installation and maintenance. Once the "heat tube" is in place the electrical conductor within can be installed or replaced without disrupting train traffic.
  • Simplicity of power distribution. Sno-Trac will protect thousands of feet of guideway from a single power point.
